We didn’t discuss openly the struggles she, and we, faced. I’ve noticed over the past year and a half that people, especially parents, are now willing to talk about anxiety, depression, bullying, and other related issues. The mask has come off in much of our community and that enables us to better determine what’s causing these problems and find solutions together. Also, we feel less alone when we share our burdens, when we know we are not alone. |
