Formed in 1985 it was supposed to be innovative and nimble and had special work rule concessions from Unions to make it competitive with Japanese makers. But GM carries the United Auto Workers like a millstone around its neck. Saturn was closed in 2010. I guess it took only 3 years for GM to forget that experience. Too bad they have such a short memory. |
