When did it become Presidential to start monitoring and commenting on local crimes? Go back to presidents 20 years ago and farther back. I don´t remember Presidents dealing with local crimes. With the huge crime wave in the 1930´s, they established the FBI and turned ´em loose on crime. The Pres didn´t feel compelled to make speeches about each major event, and there were many. |
