It isn´t that the Republicans/GOP/Tea Party (whatevs) wants to continue giving "handouts" to "the takers", it is a matter of what a HORRIBLE plan this ACA is. Why did the DEMS want to pass this thing in order for us, the American citizen, "to see what´s in it.". That would be like someone buying a used car and paying for it before taking it for a test drive. It doesn´t make sense. Seeing what the ACA ACTUALLY is, a Socialized medical health care plan, the Republicans do NOT want this, and the majority of Americans who have spoken do not want this, but the Democrats/Liberals WANT this to pass just as badly as the Republicans DON´T want it to pass. The Democrats COULD take the Republicans up on their offer to delay ACA for one year, but they are being just as stubborn and bull-headed as the Republicans. Again, however, the one year delay would only put a temporary band-aid on a MUCH bigger problem, but at least the government shut down could be over with, even if for one more year. So everyone laying ALL of the blame at the feet of the Republicans need to open their eyes and see that their beloved Democrats are JUST as responsible for the shut down as the Republicans are. It is time to GROW UP and take accountability for their actions (or inactions, whichever the case). |
